The Webmaster's Union of Russian and the Regional Public Center of Internet Technologies signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of RIF-2006

An opening ceremony of “Days of the RF regions” took place on March 24, 2006 within the framework of the 10th Anniversary Russian Internet Forum (RIF-2006) in a near-Moscow holiday hotel “Lesnye Dali”.
“Days of the RF regions” is a specialized regional block, within which a number of activities for regional RIF-2006 participants took place from March 24 to 26, 2006. Organizers of “Days of the RF regions” are the Regional public center of Internet technologies and the Webmaster's Union of Russian.
Participants of the regional block include representatives from more than 50 Russian regions: Komi-Permyatskaya oblast, Moscow oblast, Krasnoyarsky krai, Tomsk oblast, Saratov oblast, Kaliningrad oblast, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Leningrad oblast, Belgorod oblast, etc. The number of the regional block participants totaled about 200 persons.
“Days of the RF regions” will become a kind of a starting point for the first All-Russian RIF-marathon in the history of the Russian Internet, which started in April 2006. The RIF-marathon was supported by the Federal Agency of Press and Mass Communications and the Federal Education Agency.
The aim of this unique event is to popularize Internet technologies and share experience on a regional level. Following the planned program, the RIF-marathon consisted of a number of field regional workshops and round tables of the Regional public center of Internet technologies, where participants discussed the most urgent problems of the Russian segment in the World-Wide Web.
During the RIF-marathon a preliminary selection of regional participants took place relating to the contest for awarding the annual National Prize for contribution to development of the Russian Internet segment (Runet Prize 2006).
The map of RIF-marathon movement (a list of participating cities), which lasted more than 6 months, was developed by RIF-2006 participants within the framework of “Days of the RF regions”. The RIF-marathon ended on September 28, 2006 with a final press-conference in the information agency “ITAR-TASS”.
It is a reminder that the opening ceremony of the anniversary 10th Russian Internet Forum (RIF-2006) took place in Moscow on March 21, 2006 in the information agency “ITAR-TASS”, while the forum itself was held in a near-Moscow holiday hotel “Lesnye Dali” during March 22 – 26, 2006.
Participation in the RIF -2006 is FREE.
Registration of participants will stop on March 15, 2006.
