The activity of the Webmaster’s Union Russian and each of its employees is socially important. The Union supports some dozens of various social projects together with many governmental, public and commercial organizations.
International Festival of Noncommercial Internet Projects
The aim of the festival is to popularize information technologies, develop independent non-commercial sector of the Internet and support public initiatives. The festival is held since 2003 and includes a virtual contest of non-commercial Internet websites, as well as workshops and master-classes during the year with participation of the most famous Runet people. During this time more than 5000 applications were received from organizations and individuals. More than 100000 people from Russia and abroad took part in the festival arrangements, some hundreds of projects became winners of the festival, and their authors were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.

Public Youth Center “Active”
The Public Youth Center “Active” was established in January 2004 in the Veshnyaki district of Moscow. Various coteries and sections operate in the youth center, and they also actively teach teenagers information technologies.
Russian Intellectual Resources
In November 2005, a website of the program “Russian Intellectual Resources” was launched with a single information database of the best graduates of Moscow schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, colleges, higher education establishments. The project is run by the Russian Union Youth with the support of the Moscow Government and regions’ administrations. Making, promotion and hosting of the website was executed by the studio of the Webmaster's Union of Russian “Webmastera.ru”.

Student Self-Management
In April 2006 a website of the program “Student Self-Management” was launched within the All-Russian Project of the Russian Union Youth with the support of the RF Ministry of Education and Science. Making, promotion and hosting of the website was executed by the studio of theWebmaster's Union of Russian "Welcomeweb.ru".

Poetic Internet Contest "Space Conquest — the Glory of Russia!"
The contest was carried out from October 4, 2005 to January 15, 2006 and was timed to the 45th anniversary of the first human space flight. The contest is designed to attract the young generation to studying history, developing scientific-technical progress in our country. The contest is organized together with The Russian Union Youth with the support of the Moscow Public Relations Committee.

Football Team of the Major League in the Ukraine Championship — Sports Club “Tavria Simferopol”
In November 2005, the Russian Webmasters Union began supporting the football team of the Sports Club “Tavria” by providing free hosting on its server for the team’s website. The football team of the Sports Club “Tavria” is a Major League team in the Ukraine Football Championship, and it was established in 1958. The team boasts its talented players, and we wish them sporting victories!

Russia Computer Games Cup 2005
he cup comprised several eliminatory phases throughout Russia that resulted in a Moscow event that took place on May 11 – 14, 2005 within the framework of the exhibition “SvyazExpoCom-2005”. The Russian Webmasters Union united the partners on the stand “Internet Galaxy”. Such companies and organizations as Mail.ru, Rambler, CafeMax, Moscow State Technical University n. a. N.E. Bauman, etc. were presented on our stand.

Poetic Internet Contest “Victory Day”
The contest was organized together with the Russian Youth Association with the support of the Moscow Public Relations Committee and was devoted to the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. More than five hundred authors from Russia and other countries took part in the contest. The best poems were published in a separate digest. Winners were awarded on May 9, 2005 in the House of Russia’s peoples at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre.

Contest between scientific-technical and art projects on space exploration “Star Relay Race” for students
The contest was initiated by the Yu. A. Gagarin Russian State Scientific-Research Test Center for Spacemen Preparation with the support of the Federation Council Committee on Youth and Sports Affairs and the Webmaster's Union of Russian .
Charitable act of gifting computers to handicapped persons
In May 2004, the Russian Webmasters Union organized a charitable act of gratuitous transfer of computers to handicapped persons. The act was carried out together with the Charitable Fund “Social adaptation of handicapped persons and young people”.
Young Journalist Club “Blue Coach”
The club was first established by journalists from student and youth publications. It is very important for the club members what happens now with the young generation in our country, what prospects the youth policy has, what roads are open to the youngsters. The club welcomes everyone who is young, creative, and talented.

Youth Festival of Literary Art “Generation”
Every year since 2004 results of the Moscow Youth Literary Festival “Generation” are summarized in Moscow in the Central Child Library. More than 150 young authors take part in this festival. On the official ceremony representatives of the Russian Webmasters Union traditionally award prizes and gifts to the youngest festival winners.
Poetic contest “Poet and the Internet”
The contest was organized within the framework of the Festival of Non-Commercial Internet Projects with active support of the Young Writers Club of the Moscow City Writers Organization within the Russian Writers Association. Contest winners were awarded on January 23, 2005 in the Central House of Writers in Moscow.
All-Russian Peoples Tourist Society
The All-Russian Peoples Tourist Society is focused on revival of the national tourist movement. Specialists of the Russian Webmasters Union made a website for the Society to promote its ideas and highlight its activity..

Sports-Leisure Centre “Veshnyaki”
The State Institution “Veshnyaki Center” was established in 1996 by the Executive Council of the Veshnyaki District. The aim of the Centre is to implement the state youth policy in the field of social, sporting and health-improving as well as patriotic education of children, teenagers and young people.

“Tourism. Russia. Internet” Festival
The contest was carried out in November 2004 – February 2005 by the Russian Webmasters Union and the tourist portal ITRAVEL.RU together with the Federation Council Committee on Youth and Sports Affairs, the All-Russian Peoples Tourist Society, the Russian International Tourism Academy. The results of this event were summarized on the International Scientific Forum on Youth, Sports, and Tourism affairs in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre on February 20, 2005.
Open festival of child and youth creativity “All of us on the Planet come from childhood”
The Festival of child and youth creativity “All of us on the Planet come from childhood” took place in Anapa between June 1 to 13, 2003. The festival was organized by the All-Russian Association of Public Communities “The Union of the RF Youth Organizations”. The festival was supported by the Moscow government and Krasnodarsky Krai Administration. Creative teams and individuals from 21 regions of Russia (more than 2000 people) took part in the festival.
