The Webmasters Union of Russia is a membership-based public organization. Branches of the Union are opened in many regions of Russia.

Member of the Webmasters Union of Russia is a title of honor and responsibility, which confirms the professional status of its holder.

The Expert Council makes a thorough choice between applicants on the title of member in the Webmaster’s Union of Russian and gives preference to the most deserving ones.

Package of documents

To become a member of the Union an applicant should:

1. Read the regulation and select the regional branch where he/she will submit the documents;.
2. Prepare a package of documents including:

• an application for joining the Webmaster’s Union of Russian;
• a CV (in a free form) describing personal information and data about education and work experience during the eight previous years indicating positions and duties;
• portfolio and/or information about scientific (teaching) activity;
• publications, if any, including those in the Internet;
• a copy of passport (the 1st page and the page with the place of living);
• a color photograph (tiff 3х4 cm, 250 dpi);
• a copy of the receipt to confirm payment of the fee for considering the applicant’s documents in the amount of 470 rubles (postage expenses, work of the Council secretariat and branches of the Russian Webmasters Union).

All the documents should be sent by surface mail in registered letter or by e-mail to the regional branch with the note “Applicant”.

The Webmaster’s Union of Russian reserves the right to require documentary evidence to confirm the information provided. Your application will be under consideration during the period of 3 to 6 months.

Possible membership statuses in the Webmaster’s Union of Russian

1. Junior – for persons below 21 years old who passed accreditation.
2. Applicant for Junior Title – for persons below 21 years old who can potentially become Union members after re-accreditation in certain time period determined by the Expert Council (6 to 12 months).
3. Member of the Union – for person aged more than 21 years old who passed accreditation.
4. Applicant for the Title of Member of the Russian Webmasters Union – for persons aged more than 21 years old who can potentially become Union members after re-accreditation in certain time period determined by the Expert Council (6 to 12 months).

Status confirmation

Membership certificate contains a photo of the holder, his/her full name, date of issue. The certificate is issued for 5 years provided all annual membership fees are paid. A member of the Union can be expelled from the Union for actions conflicting with further being a member of the Union (regular non-participation in Union activities, non-communication with the Union or non-payment of membership fees).
Ordinary meeting of the Expert Council of the Union is scheduled on the beginning of 2007.
